Mussert fights for the Netherlands' place in the new Europe

Publisher: NSB (National Socialist Movement)

Designer: Althena

Printer: Mes & Bronkhorst

Dimensions: 59.5 x 90 cm

Original Dutch propaganda poster from World War II, published by the NSB (Dutch National Socialist Movement). The design features a large globe, with the Netherlands highlighted in bright red to present the country as a strategic center within the "new Europe." The NSB emblem is prominently displayed next to the globe.

Several flags are displayed along the left side, including the Dutch, German, and Italian colors. This row of flags symbolizes the cooperation between the so-called "new order" countries and was intended to emphasize the Netherlands' solidarity with the other Axis powers. The diagonal placement gives the whole a dynamic appearance, visually integrating the Netherlands into a larger European front.

The composition is tight, with bright areas of color, immediately readable symbols, and a powerful, political core message about Mussert's role in the future of Europe as envisioned by the NSB.

Condition:

The poster is in good condition. It is not folded, which is unusual for this size. The paper is slightly frayed in the upper left corner, without any loss of image. There is also a repaired tear near the letter "M" for Mussert. Otherwise, the page has strong colors and a fresh overall impression.
