Original French propaganda poster from World War II, designed by Bruno Hanich, titled "Et derrière: Le Juif" ("And Behind: The Jew"). This poster was distributed in Vichy France around 1943–44 as part of the German occupiers' antisemitic propaganda.
In addition to this French edition, there is an extremely rare German edition with the text “Und hinter den Feindmächten ”der Jude” (“And behind the enemy powers: the Jew”), of which, according to sources, only four copies were produced. have been preserved.
Condition:
The poster is in excellent condition: the colors are vibrant, the paper firm and fresh. Traces of previous folding are visible, but without any disturbing damage or paper loss. This copy was later mounted on linen to improve its conservation and presentation. Some collectors find it a real shame that the original paper is no longer available, but this doesn't change the fact that the poster has remained very stable and presentable.
