Aryan Declaration / “Declaration regarding non-Jewish blood”, 1940
Original Dutch form from 1940, as required by the German occupiers for all civil servants and employees of government and semi-government institutions. This type of document is historically known as the Aryan declaration , while the official title in the regulations was: “Statement regarding non-Jewish blood” .
The signatory had to complete the form in full, declaring that neither they, their spouse or fiancée, nor their parents or grandparents had ever belonged to the Jewish faith. The text also explicitly stated that making an inaccurate statement would result in immediate dismissal.
At the bottom, it is indicated that the document was to be submitted to the Accounts Department of the Agricultural Crisis Organization for Gelderland in Arnhem, making this copy geographically identifiable. The printed code 9000-10-'40 confirms the circulation period of October 1940.
Condition:
The document is in good condition. The paper is very slightly discolored due to age and shows some light wrinkling, but there are no tears, rips, or missing sections. The text is perfectly sharp and clearly legible.
